POSITION : SENIOR COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST


The Senior Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for understanding the clients' business information requirements, documenting these requirements, and designing business intelligence reports and computer applications.

This Senior Computer Systems Analyst will be dealing with clients primarily in the banking, finance and legal services industries. He/she may also be assigned in other business sectors including manufacturing, trading, electric and telecommunications.


Responsibilities:

The Senior Business Analyst's role includes:

  1. Conferring with client's management and other users of information to determine nature of information processing and optimum method of delivery
  2. Supervising business intelligence implementation projects and providing periodic report to management regarding project status
  3. Provides input in defining the scope of a project, utilizing qualitative, as well as quantitative criteria, technical and business specifications
  4. Designing, installing, updating and maintaining financial computer applications or software packages to handle specific financial or accounting jobs such as tracking sales, preparing financial statements and generating business intelligence reports
  5. Preparing recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures or organizational changes
  6. Preparing detailed flowcharts and diagrams that describe input, output and logical operations
  7. Developing and direct software system testing and validate procedures, programming, and documentation
  8. Interviewing system users, observing and walking through business transactions and processes


Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelors degree in business, accountancy or computer science
  2. Masters degree in business, law or computer science
  3. Certified Public Accountant or foreign equivalent license/certification
  4. Minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial position
  5. 7 years experience in finance/accounting involving audit, preparation of financial statements and budgeting
  6. 5 years experience in IT (in-house), IT consulting, or software development
  7. 4 years experience in system design, development and implementation of accounting systems
  8. 2 years experience in implementation of Enterprise Resource Programs including at least one of the following: SAP, Oracle Financials and Peoplesoft
  9. 2 years of combined experience in relational database systems including at least one of the following enterprise database systems: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or Sybase.
  10. Ability to travel on a periodic basis
  11. Strong English language communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly communicate business and technical concepts in person and in writing.

Rate of Pay: $45,000 annual
